Much cooler - thank god!
A week on and we have had a couple of lovely cool days after the heat and another dust storm. Charlie and I went in the protest rally and he didn't bat an eyelid - bless him, it was about 39 deg. Then Sunday we went to the dressage members training day in a hot, windy, dust storm. I swapped the horses around and rode Sly first in a Prep test and got 56% which was not bad for a first outing, we stayed in the arena which was my main aim! Then onto Charlie and we got third (probably not many in total!) and 62% which was nice but given it was prep too, he had no excuses. Sly is going to boot camp for 4 weeks while I am on holiday (what a bitch of a mother I am!) and the lovely Charlie will have a well deserved break before next years onslaught of events. I really want to move up a level next year so I am going to have to suck it in and get brave! I will see how Sly comes out after his training, then will reassess the situation.
